At Syngenta India, our dedication to advancing agriculture through innovative and sustainable practices is unwavering. During Syngenta's Global CEO Jeff Rowe’s recent visit to India, he witnessed and participated in a series of programs including projects designed to reinforce our commitment to environmental stewardship and support small-holder farmers. Jeff’s visit also included meeting farmers involved in our Climate-Smart Agriculture initiatives. . He witnessed first-hand how our initiatives are enhancing soil health and optimising resource use. Another notable aspect of the visit was showcasing Happy Seeder technology, designed to address the critical issue of crop residue burning. This innovation significantly reduces air pollution and enhances soil health by managing crop residues effectively. Additionally, Jeff Rowe participated in a live agricultural drone demonstration by Nisha Solanki, first women drone pilot in Haryana. She showcased how this tool can improve efficiency in crop protection. We are grateful to Dr SK Yadav, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Driishya who faciliated the live demonstration to showcase agricultural drone technology in India and its effectiveness. During his visit, Jeff also witnessed the demonstration of digital apps and services, such as CropWise Grower App, Crop Doctor features making a positive impact by providing farmers with real-time solutions and expert agronomy advice. These efforts are part of our broader strategy to align with India’s National Mission on Sustainable Agriculture.
