✨A proud Moment for SATPALDA to be part of the Flagship Mass Awareness Campaign Samarth-2024 hosted by HPSDMA ! ✨ It was an incredible opportunity to showcase our solutions based on satellite imagery and GIS technology for disaster management and risk reduction over the three-day exhibition, which took place from October 13 to October 15, 2024. A special highlight of the event was the Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh , Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu who took the time to visit our booth and explore how our innovative technologies can help make the state more resilient against natural disasters like landslides, floods, and earthquakes. At SATPALDA , we are committed to supporting authorities and communities with cutting-edge tools that enable better planning, real-time monitoring, and rapid response in disaster-prone regions. A big thank you to HPSDMA for organizing this impactful event, and to everyone who visited our booth. Let’s continue to build safer and smarter communities together! 💪🌍 Amit Seymour Santosh Singh Yetender Singh Negi 🇮🇳@ #HPSDMA #DisasterManagement #GIS #SatelliteImagery #Satpalda #HimachalPradesh #RiskReduction #Innovation #Sustainability #CommunitySafety

Exciting visit to India Water Week 2024 🌊 While exploring various booths, one particularly caught our attention - the student corner from Bal Bharat public school . Their inspiring tagline really resonated with us: "Every drop needs a second chance" 💧♻️ It's heartening to see young minds addressing crucial water conservation issues. Their innovative approach reminds us of the importance of sustainable water management practices. Relentless monsoon rains and subsequent flooding have stranded nearly three million people across Bangladesh, claiming lives and devastating homes and infrastructure. In the hardest-hit districts of Feni, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Comilla, and Chittagong, five major rivers are flowing above danger levels, exacerbating the situation. Road connectivity has been cut off in several regions, leaving communities isolated and making disaster management and relief efforts even more challenging. In these difficult times, it’s crucial for the global community to stand in solidarity and extend support to the people of Bangladesh. I recently participated in a workshop on "Space Technology in Disaster Management" organized by National Institute of Disaster Management and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)INDIA on 09 August 2024 SATPALDA utilizing BlackSky sensors showcased a remarkable achievement: Despite challenging all-day cloud cover, our Earth Observation satellites successfully acquired high-resolution imagery of Chooralmala. This enabled us to effectively assess damage to buildings and land parcels in the affected area. This experience highlighted the crucial role of space technology in disaster management, demonstrating how BlackSky advanced satellite capabilities can overcome environmental obstacles to provide vital information for response and recovery efforts. #DisasterManagement #SpaceTechnology #RemoteSensing #SATPALDA #BlackSky #NIDM #NDMA

Our hearts go out to the people of #Nepal affected by the devastating flash flood in Solukhumbu district. On 16-08-2024, a catastrophic event struck #Thame village, with flash flooding, mudslides, and debris flows damaging nearly half of the settlement. The impact on the community has been severe. A SAR image captured by Strix, Synspective Inc. on 17-08-2024 reveals the extent of the damage, clearly showing the presence and absence of buildings in the affected area. This disaster highlights the critical importance of remote sensing technologies in disaster response and assessment. SAR imagery provides valuable insights even in challenging weather conditions, aiding in rapid damage evaluation and response planning. SATPALDA feels proud to be partnered with Maxar Technologies in this groundbreaking endeavor. This collaboration combines Maxar's cutting-edge satellite technology with Satpalda's expertise in geospatial services, promising to deliver even more value to clients and end-users. 🚀🌍
Another launch success! Our third and fourth WorldView Legion satellites are performing well after launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station earlier this morning. They are receiving and sending signals, and they will now undergo the commissioning process, with first images expected soon. These are the first Maxar satellites launched into mid-inclination orbit (MIO), meaning they will orbit around the Earth’s mid-latitudes instead of its poles. MIO unlocks dawn-to-dusk collection, getting us ever closer to delivering near- and real-time insights to support our customers’ toughest missions. With this successful launch, Maxar’s constellation now includes eight satellites on orbit, including four next-generation WorldView Legion satellites. The first two WorldView Legion satellites were launched in May, with first images released by Maxar in July.
