The Robin Hood Army (RHA) is a zero funds, volunteer organization consisting of thousands of young professionals and citizens who dedicate their free time to collecting surplus food from restaurants and distributing it to those in need. Over the past nine years, the RHA has provided meals to 118 Million + individuals in 401 cities worldwide. The RHA's innovative approach to scaling up involves leveraging social media and partnerships, rather than relying on financial contributions. The work by RHA has even led to it being studied by Harvard University as a case study.

To celebrate a decade of RHA #Kolkata, a special drive was organized last week. As part of the event, sewing machines were donated to an organization that provides vocational training to women from BPL backgrounds.The day concluded with food distribution and a cake-cutting ceremony!

A few months ago, the RHA Mumbai team organized an eye check-up camp at Ghodakhadi Vadi, Maskhal village. The villagers, mostly daily- wage workers, welcomed this initiative. During the camp, the Robins identified a few individuals who needed cataract surgeries. They took 4 women to Isha Netralaya for detailed checkups and tests, and the doctors scheduled their surgeries. Out of the 4, 3 surgeries were successfully completed, and 1 was given prescription glasses. But this is just the beginning and together we can illuminate more lives! 💚
RHA× Metro This weekend, our incredible teams in Delhi, Lucknow, and Kanpur successfully collaborated with Metro to set up stalls and spread awareness about food wastage. 🌍🍽️ In the spirit of #DaanUtsav, they encouraged the community to contribute towards our mission of reducing hunger and ensuring no food goes to waste.
