How many of us know someone still pursuing a full-time academic degree at the age of 80? Not many, I suppose. Now, imagine this individual to be a #PadmaBhushan! Mr. #AroonPurie —one of India’s most respected media icons. As Chairman & Editor-in-Chief of India Today his influence spans across iconic brands like Business Today , Aaj Tak and the likes, alongside having a huge roll in harnessing digital leaders like The Lallantop Last month, I had the privilege of an unexpected meeting with my ex-boss, Mr. Purie at Sanders Theater, Harvard University during the #SagesandScientistsSymposium. To my surprise, I learned he wasn’t just attending the event— and that he is currently a full-time student here at Harvard University. At 80. I was speechless, only managing to say: “You’ve always had a natural ability to inspire.” In passing I mentioned of speaking as an expert on - AI & Future of Education on the panel alongside highly recognised panelists. Not only did Mr. Purie attend the session, he expressed his genuine interest, specifically with regard to #VidyaAI - our personalized learning platform. He saw immense potential in its ability to democratize education globally. At an age when many would be winding down, Mr. Purie is pushing forward, expanding his understanding and growth. His relentless pursuit of knowledge is a profound reminder: Lifelong learning is not a phase—it’s a mindset.
