Marut Drones raises $6.2M to scale agricultural drone innovation and empower rural reach. Hyderabad-based Marut Dronetech has secured $6.2 million in Series A funding led by Lok Capital. This new capital will drive the development of custom agricultural drones, expansion of service networks in tier II-III cities, and the launch of “Drone-as-a-Service” hubs. Marut plans to establish 17 new drone academies, fostering skilled professionals and boosting drone entrepreneurship across India. CEO Prem Kumar Vislawath highlighted that the investment will help Marut grow its team, scale manufacturing capacity to 3,000 drones annually, and pursue an ambitious INR 1000 crore revenue target within five years. Drone technology startup Marut Drones has secured $6.2 Mn (around INR 52.1 Cr) in a Series A funding round from Lok Capital👇 The Hyderabad-based startup plans to deploy the fresh capital to support tech-enabled food and agriculture business models. Apart from this, the proceeds will also be used for the development of advanced agricultural drones, expansion of channel partner network and service centres into Tier I and Tier II to serve rural customers, the company said in a statement.
