Innovations are needed to make the transport sector more environmentally friendly. Sustainable Urban Development: Urban regions, being the primary contributors to development, need a sustainable development model. Investing in innovative materials, processes, and designs will ensure long-term #sustainability and efficiency in urban areas. Coordinated Efforts at State and National Levels: National-level initiatives must be coordinated with state efforts to ensure proper implementation. Streamlining policies across states and fast-tracking regulations can reduce challenges and promote green business more effectively. Accelerating Renewable Energy Competitiveness: The ISTS waiver scheme has made renewable energy more commercially competitive, particularly for commercial and industrial customers, facilitating a smoother transition to green energy. There is a call for policies to increase demand for green molecules in transportation and industry sectors to achieve net-zero before 2070. Ambitious Goals and Energy Efficiency: India should not be complacent on its journey to #netzero. Setting ambitious goals, along with advancements in technology, will help India potentially surpass the 2070 target. #Energy efficiency will play a crucial role in reducing consumption without compromising service standards.
