    Few mistakes can’t be rectified—especially the ones that happen on the road. #GoodAdsMatter This hard-hitting spot, for New Zealand Transport Agency, shows a brief moment in time before a road accident takes place. As time comes to a standstill, the two drivers face each other and realise what is looming ahead. It is safe to say that their conversation will remain etched in our minds for a long time to come. According to the NZ Transport Agency, 83 people were killed and 408 were seriously injured in speed-related crashes, on New Zealand roads, in 2013. Following this, in 2014, they created a campaign that targets competent drivers who drive ‘comfortably’ fast. The campaign’s aim was to showcase that while a person may be a good driver, they are prone to making mistakes—as is everyone else. Through childlike yet poignant animation, this campaign captures the grim reality of child abuse, depicting a parent and child twirling together in a metaphor for the endless cycle of trauma that is so difficult to break. This campaign poses a crucial question: why is it vital to foster a safe childhood for our kids? Because their experiences today shape the future of our society tomorrow.     When does gender stereotyping begin? #GoodAdsMatter It is time we ‘draw’ attention to the need for more female role models in children’s lives. Research shows that gender biases are developed at a very young young, hence ‘Inspiring the Future’, a service of the education and employers charity, created a campaign to #RedrawTheBalance. Produced pro-bono by MullenLowe, this film shows 20 children in an art class, who are asked to draw a firefighter, surgeon and pilot. Out of 66 drawings, only 5 turned out to be women. Richard Denney, Executive Creative Director at MullenLowe London, says “It’s our responsibility as working professionals, as well as educators, to encourage and inspire young minds that the majority of jobs and roles today are available for women, and not just men. These young minds are our future.” If knowledge is freedom, then freedom to choose begins at school. Here’s to sketching an equal playing field for future generations!     Want to catch up over a pint of “Aineken” this weekend? #GoodAdsMatter Heineken, one of the world’s most beloved beers, has also earned the title of the most misspelt beer for the past 150 years. From “Hineken” to “Haneken,” fans have confused it with other German brews. In celebration of their 150th anniversary, Heineken turned this mischief into marketing magic. They rebranded all their bottles with names that are anything but “Heineken,” showcasing the creative history of mispronunciations like “Heiny” and “Hekkenen.” With 22 million bottles hitting the shelves across 153 countries, the brand transformed their identity on streets, trucks, bars, and billboards. This marketing move was met with a remarkable 354% increase in brand recall and a 32% uptick in beer sales––proving that sometimes, freedom from convention is the ultimate celebration.
