EDG Metairie and Lafayette Offices - Tropical Storm Francine is forecast to continue strengthening before it makes landfall as a hurricane somewhere along the Louisiana coast later Wednesday, with impacts arriving well in advance. Right now, the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center forecasts Francine to be a Category 2 at landfall. We have measures in place to remain in contact with everyone and will provide updates as information becomes available. We ask all employees in the area to use good judgement and to continue to check email and ePortal for the latest updates.
