When a parent first learns that their child may be facing developmental or learning challenges, it is quite hard for them to process and then work toward the next step. Late-night research and endless questions arise as they try to figure out what’s best for their child. 🤔💭 To make this journey a little easier, we conducted an online seminar to help parents understand and evaluate which therapy is suitable for their child. 💻✨ Led by experts Nishi Desai Saraf, MA, BCBA, Sarah Elsa Abraham, and vandna sinha, the seminar explored the nuances of Occupational, ABA, and Speech therapy—their interrelations and differences—followed by a Q&A session, to empower parents to make informed decisions about what’s best for their children. 👩🏫💡 If you are a parent who wants to dive deeper into educational sessions, stay tuned to our page for details on the next one! 👀

'All India Parent Support Group- Bengaluru Edition' We recently hosted a meet-up at Indiranagar Social, aiming to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive environment for parents. The theme was ‘Celebrating Growth: Proud Moments of My Child and Personal Growth as Parents of Children with Autism.’ 🌟 It was a wonderful opportunity for parents to share their experiences and connect with others who understand their journey. 🤝 We kicked off with the ‘Gratitude Game,’ where parents shared something—whether a person, place, food, or object—they were thankful for. This simple exercise helped everyone relax and break the ice. 🌿 The ‘Toolkit’ activity followed, where we discussed the support systems in our lives and the reasons they're so vital. This led to meaningful conversations about the different ways we lean on others for support and guidance. 💬 The most touching part of the event was hearing parents share their children’s proud moments, and how they navigate their life with new experiences and learning. 🌈 We at EAS are very proud and privileged to have been chosen by the parents to walk along with them in the journey of their child's progress. 💙 The atmosphere was warm and lively, filled with genuine interactions and joyful stories. 🎉 We are incredibly grateful to all the parents who joined us and made the day so memorable. 🌟 This week, the Early Autism Services- India and Early Autism Services Australia occupational therapy teams and leaders, Suchitra Choudhury and Jenna White came together for an educative online workshop! 🤝 Led by Toni Seale, we dove deep into the 'Essentials of Sensory Integration'— Sensory Modulation and Discrimination, on the first day and Intervention for Foundational Mechanisms and Praxis, on the second day. 🗣 The sessions were followed with engaging Q&A segments where Toni Seale answered questions from our enthusiastic Indian team, led by vandna sinha.💬
