  • DoMS NALSAR Hosts a Two-Day Management Development Program for HR Leaders of Heritage Foods Ltd. The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at NALSAR University conducted a comprehensive two-day Management Development Program (MDP) for the Human Resource leaders of Heritage Foods Ltd., a leading entity in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. Held on October 18 and 19 at the NALSAR University Campus in Hyderabad, this initiative reflects DoMS NALSAR's commitment to bridging academia and industry by providing cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills to professionals. The MDP focused on crucial compliance-related topics pertinent to the dynamic landscape of human resource management. Key areas covered included wage regulations, termination procedures, definitions of industry and industrial disputes, employee benefits such as gratuity and bonus calculations, employee compensation, the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), provident fund regulations, maternity benefits, the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, and processes related to employee misconduct and disciplinary actions. Thirteen HR professionals from various plants of Heritage Foods Ltd., spanning eight different states, participated in the program. Their engagement and diverse experiences enriched the discussions, fostering a collaborative learning environment.   • Our team from DoMS, NALSAR, comprising of Bhavya Sinha, Shubhangi Dwivedi, and, Aditya Bansal (IPM, IVth Year), proudly secured the 2nd runners-up position at the prestigious "AI Efficiency Challenge" Case Study Competition, jointly organized by the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad and Hind Rectifiers Ltd. (HIRECT) on 19th October 2024. This competition was a true test of innovation and resilience, featuring 500+ teams from universities across the nation, including top institutions like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, TISS, MESA School of Business, SSCBS, and many more. The journey involved three challenging rounds, culminating in a live finale at the iconic ISB campus.
