Robotic arms have impeccable precision in movements however they are only machines that move in fixed paths and are not intuitive or intelligent. 70% 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭 of the automation is spent creating mechanisms to present one type of object to be worked on in precise orientation and positions for the robots to be able to pick them up. It’s like paying 1lakh to operate a 30k refrigerator and only for that one refrigerator; if you change the model you have to do it all over again. And this is just for the tasks we can automate. Un-automatable tasks come next, everything that involves assembling various parts to make an object [𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩?] is currently run by human effort.
