LinkedIn ads or Facebook ads for finding clients? While there is a LOT of difference in the cost per conversion between LinkedIn and Facebook (Facebook being cheaper ofcourse), I prefer LinkedIn and here’s why: I ran ads on Facebook a couple of months back and got atleast 100 spam messages from random people and 0 leads As opposed to LinkdedIn ads where the chances of spamming are rather less. Only work oriented people are active on LinkedIn. People don’t use LinkedIn to mindlessly scroll And if your ads are ONLY reaching working professionals, you CANNOT get spam messages Another important point is that LinkedIn ads focus a lot on designation Every LinkedIn user has a work designation and once I put a particular designation as a target for my ads it will only reach people who have put that designation on their profile LinkedIn ads are definitely expensive but I would rather spend 5000 rupees to get leads worth 50,000 rather than spending 1000 to get no leads

This one thing helps me get a 6 figure income every month! Mindset change Earlier I was very critical of my work. Whenever I onboarded a new client I would think- “Why does she want to work with me?” I always thought I didn’t know what I was doing and as a result I would really chase the clients that inquired about my services. I would keep pinging them everyday and convince (or probably beg) them to work with me. Cut to now, after having worked for more than 3 years and having helped multiple accounts grow, I have full faith in what I do, I know what I’m doing and if I was an outsider, I’d definitely hire me too. This shift in mindset has helped me care less about the individuals deals that I crack and when someone approaches me now all they hear is confidence and not desperation which encourages them also to trust me with their brand. #linkedincommunity #linkedinfamily #linkedinforbusiness #freelance #freelancewriter

Here’s how much you need to spend to acquire clients 💸 Due to the high costs of acquiring clients, freelancers always stress on the importance of retaining previous clients Here’s how much freelancers spend on average to acquire clients: -Linkedin Sales Navigator- 6000 rupees a month -Running ads - 3000-4000 rupees a month -Email Marketing tool- 2500 rupees a month -Domain name- 1000 a year -Linkedin automated messaging tools- 3360 rupees a month -Lead generation expert/ads manager/email marketer- 10,000 rupees a month That’s almost 25000 rupees a month Obviously you don’t need to spend in all of this at once but considering how competitive the freelancing and marketing field is, you need to keep multiple options open for acquiring high ticket clients. #freelancer #freelancecommunity #clientacquisition #emailmarketing

Here’s how I get a closing rate of 100% 1) Instead of focusing on YOU focus on them Instead of saying-“Let me tell you something about myself, I have done an MBA in….” Say-“Here’s what I think is missing in your account and with my expertise and experience here’s how I can help you 2) Instead of boasting about your success rate, tell them how you can help them succeed Instead of saying “I have worked with 100s of jewellery brands in the past and helped them grow their account” Say “I can help you grow your account by 2x by the end of 3 months, I have done this previously for a lot of my previous clients as well” 3) Instead of showing them what you have done for clients in the past, show them what you can do for them When asked about your vision for the brand Don’t say “Here’s the work I did and the content I curated for a clothing store in the past” Say “I can prepare a sample content deck for you that will align with your brands vision” and give them the sample deck Even if two brands are from the same niche, every brands visions and goals are different #linkedin #linkedincommunity #freelance

How I finish 6 hours of work in 3 hours 1) Delegate Earlier I used to micro manage every aspect of work be it ideating, scripting, graphic designing, video editing, performance marketing, etc, which took up a lot of my time and didn’t culminate into anything fruitful. 2) Prepare a to-do list I don’t think to-do lists have gotten their due yet. They are literally so efficient in de-cluttering your mind and focusing on what is important. If I don’t put down my work for the day on paper, I feel extremely overwhelmed. 3) Automate few areas of work using AI ‘AI isn’t there to replace you, it’s there to make your work easier’ There are a lot of things AI can’t do but there are so many things that AI can do much better and faster. Normally researching on a topic that isn’t related to my niche takes me hours but with AI tools you can literally get the information in 10 minutes #linkedin #linkedinlearning #linkedincommunity #freelance #freelancing

Don’t quit your job Before you learn these things about freelancing… 1) You’re quitting an 8 hour job to pursue a 20 hour career Doesn’t matter how hard you try to set work boundaries, in the first few years you’re going to find yourself working throughout the day. The work does not end at 7! 2) Moving onto freelancing does not necessarily mean earning more money There is no steady income in freelancing, sometimes you’d be without work or clients for days or months. There is no consistency unless you reach a certain level 3) You’re no longer just a social media manager or a graphic designer or a copywriter Even if you’re freelancing in graphic designing, your role is not longer that of a graphic designer You’re a lead generator, HR, accountant, social media manager, photographer, videographer and as business owner as a whole #linkedin #linkedincommunity #freelance #socialemediamarketing

I closed 3 clients on LinkedIn in December and here’s how you can do it too -Search for your potential clients or people from desired niche For example I searched for gym trainers and changed the location to US and UK -Go through the accounts of each and send personal invitation message to only those account where you know you can add value -Don’t pitch your services in the personal invitation message. Express your admiration towards their account and end the message with a question so they have an incentive to reply. For example- Hey I recently came across your account on LinkedIn, I love your content, it is very interesting and helpful. Can I know more about your experience at XYZ? -Once they respond to the question, acknowledge the response and give them tips for their LinkedIn account, what are the things that are missing - like a cover image or a professional profile picture or SEO words And subtly plug yourself at the end saying- If you need someone who can help you with this on LinkedIn and help you grow, please let me know! -If they don’t respond, send up a follow up message after a week and your work here is done #linkedin #linkedincommunity #freelance #socialmedia

Here’s a list of few tried and tested email marketing tools along with their subscription prices 1) Brevo - 2000 rupees a month This isn’t very effective in getting leads but it’s good for beginners who don’t wish to spend on subscription charges of marketing tools in the beginning 2) Smartlead- 2500 rupees a month This tool helped me get 5 clients in a month, it is a bit on the expensive side but as long as it’s getting you clients, it’s an extremely effective tool 3) Appsumo- 5600 for lifetime Again an amazing tool that is extremely affordable, the only limitation is that you can send only 3000 mails a month, so opting for the 9000 package is more affordable in the long run

LinkedIn practices I’m turning my back on in 2023 -Meaningless engagement with posts It doesn’t bring any value and is just a waste of time. I will only choose to engage if I agree with with the content and have something meaningful to add to it -Sending connection requests to anyone and everyone On LinkedIn we can send a request only to a certain number of people on a daily basis, so before sending a request I’m going to go through their account to see if there’s anything I can help with -Using extravagant hooks followed with cliche and baseless content Everything I put on LinkedIn from now on will be tried by me first -Taking long breaks after not getting desired engagement Taking a break due to low engagement is just going to worsen the engagement even more #linkedin #linkedinforbusiness
