Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of October 7th that shook Israel and affected so many lives. Our hearts are with the families still enduring pain, and we continue to hope for the safe return of the 101 hostages. This day is a testament to our community’s resilience, and at Tipping Point, we stand united in honoring those we’ve lost, supporting the families of the hostages, and holding onto hope for a peaceful and brighter future. 🇮🇱

Yesterday was an immensely emotional day, to say the least. Over the past three years, I've had the privilege of mentoring students from the Entrepreneurship School on multiple occasions. Each time, I've been exhilarated by the caliber of teams, the individuals involved, their creative ideas, and their ability to absorb the lessons imparted. However, this time, it was different. Yesterday, I had the honor of being invited to judge and provide feedback for the student's final presentation of the "Honor Program Entrepreneurship Zero to One" of the Entrepreneurship School at Reichman University. While this was indeed an exciting event, it was only a small part of the day's significance. Dr. Yossi Maaravi, the Dean of the Entrepreneurship School and a brilliant leader of this course made a heartfelt decision to dedicate this particular course to honoring a student who tragically lost his life in the October 7th massacre. Ilay Nachman, who hailed from my hometown of Even Yehuda, shared my passion for surfing. On October 7th during the Re’im music festival, when the alarms sounded, he and his friends swiftly fled. After a short drive, they sought refuge in a bomb shelter. Upon realizing that terrorists were nearby, Ilay and his friend bravely confronted them with their bare hands, preventing them from reaching the rest of the group. Though they lost their lives in the process, they saved the lives of their friends. Ilay was meant to be part of this course. Ilay's parents (sitting behind me in the back) were invited to attend the final presentation. Yossi Maaravi, I want to extend my gratitude for allowing me to be a part of this, and to Ilay's parents, I offer my deepest condolences. I pledge to continue spreading goodness in honor of Ilay. Happy Wellness Day :)

Investor & Founding Partner at Tipping Point | We help late-stage companies implement systematic behaviors through lasting habits to achieve their goals.

As entrepreneurs, we often find ourselves caught in the relentless pursuit of success, where every minute seems to count towards our next big achievement. However, in this constant chase, it's easy to overlook a fundamental aspect that fuels our ambitions - our wellness. Today, I want to emphasize the significance of instituting a "Wellness Day" within our entrepreneurial journey. A dedicated day to disconnect from work-related tasks and reconnect with our physical and mental health. It's not just a break; it's a strategic investment in our most valuable asset - ourselves. Why Wellness Days are Non-Negotiable for Entrepreneurs: - Mental Clarity: Stepping back can provide the space needed for creativity to flourish and for solving complex problems with refreshed perspective. - Increased Productivity: Regularly scheduled downtime can lead to increased productivity and efficiency when we are working. - Health Benefits: Reducing the risk of burnout and stress-related health issues ensures we can perform at our best over the long term. - Enhanced Leadership: A well-rested and mentally sound leader inspires teams, making a positive impact on the entire organization. How to Implement a Wellness Day: 1. Schedule It: Make it as non-negotiable as a crucial business meeting. Whether it's once a week or once a month, mark it on your calendar. 2. Disconnect: Truly step away from work-related communications. This means emails, calls, and even thinking about work tasks. 3. Engage in Activities You Love: Whether it's spending time with family, pursuing a hobby, or simply resting, do what replenishes your spirit. 4. Reflect: Use some time to reflect on your goals, achievements, and areas for growth. This can align your actions with your true objectives. Your health is your wealth. Let's prioritize it. #Entrepreneurship #WellnessDay #MentalHealth #Leadership #Productivity

My biggest lesson from writing Million Dollar Weekend? We all can do harder things than we realize. Writing a book is hard. Building a business is hard. But they’re not impossible. Here's 5 reflections from creating my book: 1- Success leaves Clues Writing a book takes YEARS (took me 4). And it’ll be around for the rest of your life. So I learned to talk to others who have already done it. I collected advice from James Clear, Tim Ferriss, Ramit Sethi to check if this was really for me. When I did start, Tahl Raz (co-author) had me write 30 reports on top entrepreneurship books: what they did well, what could be improved. You can shortcut success by looking at the breadcrumbs of the greats. 2- Build WITH your customers Most people hear the word “author” and they think of a lone writer clacking at a typewriter in the woods. Not only is that BORING, it’s ineffective. I applied my marketing strategies (from Million Dollar Weekend) to create the book WITH my customers. After draft 1, early readers pointed out what was missing and what I needed to double down on. We ALL have gaps in our thinking. Fill those gaps with your audience, getting feedback, and iterating. All the way to the first sale. 3- Work backwards from your goal I planned the book marketing 18 months in advance (James Clear advice). We used a spreadsheet to coordinate podcasts/content, secure bulk buys, track Launch Team growth, and forecast sales. Marketing your product should not be a surprise. Once we set our goal (25,000 book sales in 30 days), we could plan to get there. This coordinated a huge marketing effort that drove tons of sales. 4- We can do hard things I hired Tahl Raz so I wouldn’t have to write the book all myself. Got Charlie Hoehn to work his editing magic and got feedback from 1,000+ beta readers. Thought I was learning to delegate better. In reality, I was scared that my book wouldn’t help people. So I tried to avoid most of the work. That came to a head when my publisher said the book was due in 2 wks. I read the latest version and couldn’t honestly put my name on the cover. I had to face myself. So I worked 15 hr days to improve. Meticulously went over every word. Got feedback from people 1 by 1. Gained confidence that my book could actually help change peoples lives. You can do hard things. But you have to face the thing you’ve been avoiding. 5- Focus on the input, not the output First time I checked my book’s Amazon ranking was the morning of the book launch (peaked at 18). I reminded myself constantly to focus on the inputs in my control eg. How many social posts I create, emails/DMs I reply to, etc. Get joy and reward from the inputs - we will sustain longer and results will come. This book is my life’s work. It’s everything I’ve learned in entrepreneurship in one place. If you’re willing to take a chance on yourself, the world wants you to win. 💚 Reshare ♻️ and follow me Noah Kagan for more. If you are currently building or improving your deck, you need to read this... As you venture into creating your pitch deck, keep in mind that it's not merely about showcasing data and statistics, but about crafting a captivating narrative that encapsulates the spirit of your startup. Each slide should be seen as a narrative chapter, contributing to the overall story. For a coherent and fluid presentation, consistency and flow are essential. Here's a helpful tip to enhance your pitch deck at any development phase:  For each slide you develop, make a habit of returning to the beginning, hitting the present button, and going through the slides as if you're reading a story. This practice will help you gauge whether the narrative is coherent and if the message you intend to convey is clear. Bear in mind, that the recipient of your presentation will likely review it once, perhaps twice, by scrolling from the beginning to the end. Ensuring your pitch deck reads smoothly in this manner can significantly impact its effectiveness. #pitchdeck #entrepreneur #investors
