This morning is anything but ordinary. We find ourselves on a relentless roller coaster of emotions—rage, pain, and deep sadness. The devastating news of six hostages murdered by Hamas in Gaza tunnels has shattered us. We mourn Ori Danino, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Alex Lubanov, Almog Sarsui, and Hersh Goldberg-Polin. Though some of us have never met them, their stories have become our own, and our hearts break alongside their families, who poured their love and hopes out to the people of Israel and Jewish communities around the world. On top of this, we woke to the horrifying news of three more lives taken in a shooting attack in the southern West Bank. The pain is overwhelming. May their memories be a blessing, shining strong in the hearts of their families and all who knew them. This evening, protests will take place in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. We stand with the families of the hostages, sending them strength and comfort. We must carry the torch for the 101 hostages still in captivity—101 worlds, each one precious. Sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, uncles and aunts, brothers and sisters, friends. We MUST save them and bring them home NOW!

BREAKING NEWS: Successful Hostage Rescue in Gaza We're deeply grateful to the brave men and women of the IDF and Israel Security Agency for their heroic efforts in rescuing Qaid Farhan Alkadi, a 52-year-old resident of Rahat, who was abducted by Hamas on October 7th. Today, after a coordinated operation involving Shayetet 13, the 401st Brigade, Yahalom, and ISA forces, Qaid was brought back safely from the Gaza Strip. His condition is stable, and he is receiving the necessary medical care. The commitment of Israeli security forces to bring every hostage home is unwavering. What a better way to honor Tu B’Av (Israeli Valentines Day) than sharing Jordan’s love story?!? Jordan is an Israel Experience alum who took part in MITF in 2017/2018. Halfway through the program, she met Yochay and instantly fell in love—because, really, who can resist a charming Israeli? Though she originally planned on becoming an occupational therapist, Jordan found herself packing her bags at the end of the program to stay in Israel and pursue the relationship—every parent’s classic fear. Soon after, she started working at Israel Experience and has been with us ever since, helping others fulfill their dreams of coming to Israel. Today, Jordan and Yochay have two beautiful daughters, and if you ask her, she’s living the dream: building a life in the most magical place on earth and inspiring others to do the same.

Love Always Wins! Amidst all the challenges, we want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Israeli Olympic team for bringing home seven medals. Their achievements and resilience inspire us all. Despite facing adversity and controversy, they persevered and made us all stand tall.
