The Hope Foundation is a registered charity working with street and slum children in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India. We work to free children and poor families from lives of pain, abuse and poverty. With offices in the Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany and India, The Hope Foundation is dedicated to promoting the protection of street and slum children in Kolkata who are amongst the most underprivileged in India. HOPE works to effect immediate and lasting change in their lives. By extending support to children and their communities via 60 on the ground projects in Kolkata employing over 15 staff in the UK and Ireland and almost 500 staff in West Bengal. HOPE provides sustainable holistic solutions to protection and development. By providing healthcare, counselling and education, HOPE ensures children in its care enter adulthood equipped with the tools and support they need to live healthy and happy lives. To date HOPE has helped over 2.3 million people.

We are thrilled to announce that The Hope Foundation was named Favourite Yoga Charity at the OM Yoga Awards 2024, for its programmes for street-connected children in Kolkata, India, and the Yoga for HOPE campaign. The award – which was presented at a ceremony at the OM Yoga Show at London’s Alexandra Palace on 19 October - was collected on the behalf of HOPE UK by Head of Fundraising, Juliette Whittaker, and yoga teacher supporters Jan May and Zephyr Wildman. Thank you to everyone who voted for us to win the award and to the yoga community for their unwavering support for HOPE.

🚀 **Summit Success in the Atlas Mountains!** 🏔️ After days of hiking from the small village of Imill, our team pushed higher into the Atlas Mountains, reaching our high camp just below the snow line. With Toubkal's summit towering above us and a forecast of snow, we were united as one team with one dream. Led by the incredible Jason Black we were a strong and prepared group. Seven souls set out, and seven strong friends returned triumphant! Each of us encouraged one another to push harder, embrace the unknown, and be stronger together. The battle was tough, facing temperatures as low as -6°C and chilling winds from the south. But at 7:35 AM, the sunrise brought warmth and breathtaking views that felt straight from heaven. We reached the roof of the Atlas Mountains—Toubkal, the summit of North Africa! **We did it!** 100% success was never in doubt. Summit day covered 25km at an altitude of 4200m, with 16 hours on our feet. This incredible journey was for a cause close to our hearts.
