About us
Pyramp provides an energy solution beyond any particular type of fuel. We make clean, cheap, sustainable, and efficient solid-state heat engines that generate electricity directly from heat. Our solution is ideal for recovering waste heat from high-temperature process industries like cement, glass, and steel. Use of a Pyramp system enables these industries to save electricity and CO2 emissions. Thermophotovoltaics (TPV) convert infrared radiation directly into electricity in a process that is similar to solar photovoltaic (PV) cells. Any Infrared light emitted from a surface at a suitable temperature is a potential energy source for TPV. Unlike conventional waste-heat recovery methods, a Pyramp system has minimum moving parts and can recover waste heat above 1000°C with superior conversion efficiency. Our systems help improve efficiency and reduce waste heat from Industry. Pyramp has already designed, fabricated and tested TPV systems at cement and glass plants of globally leading companies. We are continuing to develop our system design and it will be commercially available soon. Pyramp - Business Development Manager/co-founder We're setting out to make a very substantial impact on the world's climate by helping some very large industries finally recover their high-temperature waste heat. We're seeking a business development manager who can help us push on the many open doors in the cement, glass, steel and ceramics industry. The currently all-male team is very committed to gender diversity. The cement, glass and steel industries have large amounts of waste heat that they are under a lot of pressure to recycle. Based on a Thermophotovoltaic system (TPV), the Pyramp team has developed the world's first viable solution to turn this waste heat into electricity and we now have significant traction with some of the world's largest companies in these sectors. We're looking for someone who is well-organised and is willing to help us drive the business forward, a "self starter". That's all really. The candidate will join Pyramp at a point where we have at least 18 months of cash runway, just as we spin out of the Technological University, Dublin with new investment. The role is initially partly based in Dublin, Ireland, but we're interested to hear from candidates in any geography with relevant experience.
