We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Gotland GPe Circuit/Gotland Ring, the world's first and most sustainable race circuit, set to develop a decentralized eFuel production plant on Gotland Island, Sweden. This project marks a significant leap towards energy independence and sustainability, harnessing the island's abundant renewable energy resources. Gotland Ring isn't just a racetrack; it's a pioneer in sustainable motorsport. The facility features a stunning 7.3 km circuit built in a former limestone quarry and is committed to innovative solutions, including the world’s first electric road system with dynamic charging, known as SmartRoad Gotland. Alec Arho Havrén, founder and circuit architect of Gotland Ring, emphasizes the importance of this collaboration: “While battery electric propulsion is crucial, e-fuels are essential for complementing propulsion and energy storage. Internal combustion engine technology can be sustainable with e-fuels, which will also be necessary for vessels and aircraft in the future to combat climate change.” Our eFuel production plant will significantly reduce carbon emissions, contributing to climate goals through diverse decarbonization solutions. Martin Popilka, CEO of P1 Fuels, describes this initiative as a milestone: “Our scalable, low-CAPEX technology enables the production of eFuels precisely where needed, achieving up to 95% GHG reduction compared to conventional fossil fuels.” This partnership not only supports local industries by providing sustainable fuel but also positions Gotland as a leader in the shift towards sustainable mobility solutions. We are proud to announce that P1 Fuels has been selected as the official fuel supplier for the 2025 Deutsche Tourenwagen-Masters (DTM) season. This is a major milestone for us as we lead the charge toward fossil-free motorsport with our fuel, reducing CO₂ emissions by 75%. Our whitepaper published in collaboration with TU Darmstadt has been recently analyzed by the ADAC Foundation, showcasing its groundbreaking findings. The study highlights that our "Eco100Pro" fossil-free fuel achieves an impressive 80% reduction in CO₂ emissions without any modifications to the vehicle. While we are actively working on increasing the CO₂ reductions to up to 95%. Moreover, the ADAC XC-Cup, Germany's first motorsport series using 100% fossil-free fuel, has proven our fuel's capabilities. Results indicate no performance drawbacks, increased fuel consumption, or technical risks for combustion engines. Thank you to the great people which made a vision come true: the first global conference on the collectible car sector and its future. The outcome beat our wildest dreams. Thanks to the attendees: a stunning crowd of 120 among the world's key decision makers and opinion leaders in the classic car space, including many representatives of the leading manufacturers (from Bugatti Rimac to Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., from Dallara to Caterham, from Alfa Romeo to Ferrari), collectors, professionals and visionaries. Thanks to the amazing location: Tenuta di Roncolo truly represents peak hospitality in the Motor Valley (which we were honored to have as our patron). Giuseppe and Julia: you have a jewel - thanks so much for being our partners in this venture! Thanks also to Pierpaolo and Carlotta for all the hard work of the last several months. Last Thursday, our founder and CEO Martin Popilka had the pleasure of speaking at the WRC Promoter GmbH #BeyondRally Forum in Portugal. Together with Guido Albuquerque from the Platform for the Promotion of Low Carbon Fuels – (PCBC), International Affairs Director, the panel talk, titled “Approaching climate targets through sustainable fuels” tackled the complex landscape of sustainable transportation and the pivotal role of innovation in shaping its future. Guido provided valuable insights into Portugal's approach to balancing market dynamics and regulatory requirements in transitioning from ICE vehicles to EVs, shedding light on the interplay between policy and industry demands. Martin highlighted the significant strides made with sustainable fuels, particularly in motorsports like the WRC, emphasizing their potential to drive broader adoption beyond the racetrack. We also explored the challenges of marrying sustainability with the operations of the oil industry and discussed strategies to encourage wider uptake of e-fuels to meet climate targets. Together, we identified key obstacles hindering the mass production and implementation of alternative fuel. Through innovation, policy alignment, and collaborative action, we can overcome challenges and accelerate the adoption of alternative fuels, steering society towards a fossil-free future.
