🎉 We're thrilled to announce that our site in Cork, MSD Brinny, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary!   For over four decades, MSD Brinny has been a vibrant part of the pharmaceutical sector in the South-East, making significant contributions to the development and commercial supply of biotech products. From Oncology to Hepatitis C and Rheumatoid Arthritis, this site has been at the forefront of creating some of MSD's most successful treatments.   To celebrate this momentous milestone, our colleagues hosted an exciting event at Valley Rovers GAA Club. The celebration brought together colleagues, families, and friends for a day of perfect weather and vibrant festivities. From gourmet food stalls to live music, narrated site bus tours, and appearances by local sports stars, the event provided a fascinating look into the Brinny site's legacy, showcasing the innovation and excellence that has been a cornerstone of our work.   This milestone is a testament to the exceptional dedication of our team and the unwavering support from Innishannon and the strong bonds the site has forged with the local community over the years.   Here's to many more years of innovation and success at MSD Brinny!   #MSDIreland #Innovation #Success 

We’re honoured to announce new partnerships with Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre and Sexual Health West through our global Solutions for Healthy Communities programme, awarding a combined €150,000 to these very deserving organisations. These grants will support vital initiatives aimed at addressing systemic health inequities in their local communities. Both committed to making a difference in their region, Cois Nore is dedicated to ensuring rural residents in Kilkenny have access to cancer care, while Sexual Health West works to provide STI prevention and education to vulnerable and rural populations in the West of Ireland. Supporting local communities is central to our mission, and we’re proud to partner with these fantastic organisations to help improve health outcomes and expand access to care. This summer, we released the latest edition of our research series ‘My Healthcare, My Future’, looking to add value to the healthcare landscape across Ireland by putting people and patients at the heart of the conversation. Focusing on #GenZ and young adults, the 2024 ‘My Healthcare, My Future: Next Gen Health’ report uncovers growing pessimism around our healthcare system, as well as stark gaps in the expectations and perceptions of health and the healthcare system amongst different generations. ·  9% of all respondents believe that the standard of healthcare in Ireland meets their expectations. ·  54% say that they cannot currently afford the costs associated with their health. ·  45% say that they are pessimistic about the future – an increase in negative sentiment of 6% since our previous My Healthcare, My Future report in 2021. At MSD Ireland, we strive to make a difference – for people, for patients and for our wider community. We want to help start a conversation that integrates all voices in the discussion towards the future of health in Ireland.
