✨ In June, we created something truly special as a community! 172 people from around the globe 🌍 came together for Knowledge Summit Dublin; a Generative AI and Knowledge Management conference by the community, for the community. The experience was extraordinary, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who made it possible. A huge thank you to my family, the organising committee, the incredible knowledge summit team, the speakers, delegates, our sponsors, Trinity College Dublin events team, and everyone else involved. 🙏 Over two days, we delved into the theme of "the human in the loop" with AI for knowledge creation and transfer. It became clear that the human is more crucial than ever as we advance into a world of knowledge graphs, the semantic layer and LLMs. Context is key. AI is a transformative enabler for Knowledge Management, but Knowledge Management is essential for AI to function effectively.💡 The new 'flipped' format was a hit, and the feedback was that we could lean into it more, so we’re excited to embrace this even more next year! 📈 Mark your calendars for June 25th and 26th, as Knowledge Summit Dublin will return, bigger and better! 🎉 But not too big—keeping the intimate feel that both sponsors and delegates loved, we’ll limit places to 250. It's going to sell out fast! Next year's highlights include a special gala dinner in the historic Trinity College dining hall and a limited-seat Knowledge Management workshop with Professor Dave Snowden in the Wicklow mountains, sharing knowledge and stories around a campfire. 🔥🏞️ Check out the fun we had this year in this short video, and thanks again, Barry #KnowledgeSummitDublin #AI #KnowledgeManagement #Community #Innovation #Tech Patrick Lambe Zach Wahl Stan Garfield Stephanie Barnes Darryl Wing Daan Hannessen Paige Kane, PhD, CPIP Arthur Shelley Liam Fahey Fiona Gallagher-Payet Scott Leeb Bill Kaplan Ninez Piezas-Jerbi Ed Hoffman Professor Sandra Moffett Bryan Byrne, MBA David Gurteen Moria Levy Ron Young Tatiana Andreeva Michael Bell Nuala Calnan, PhD Melanie Byrne Adams Kieran McCorry Chris Collison John Hovell, PMP, CKM Eleanor Snowden Keith Barry Etzard Stolte, Dr. Niamh S. My thoughts over the last week have continued to go back to Knowledge Summit Dublin. First off, a massive congratulations to Barry Byrne for making the conference a reality, from early vision through seamless execution. Thank you, Barry, for allowing me and Enterprise Knowledge, LLC to be a part of it. I also want to thank the speakers and attendees. In days where travel budgets are tight, you all took the risk on a first-time conference, showed up, and actively shared your expertise and knowledge. The conference itself was a great collection of discussions, debates, and engagement. I think one of the most unique elements of it was how various social and learning elements were woven into the event, beautifully orchestrating opportunities to continue conversations over a pint, or while touring some of Dublin's most meaningful pieces of history. Likely, if you're in the field, your feed has been flooded with similar posts over the last week, but I wanted to pile on the KM FOMO in the hopes I'll see you all at Knowledge Summit Dublin 2025. #knowledgesummitdublin

According to Gartner, «99% of AI-initiatives in IT service management will fail due to lack of an established knowledge management foundation» Is your organisation prepared? I just got back from the great event “Generative AI in the world of Knowledge Management” in Dublin to learn from others about this topic, packed with world class Knowledge Management-leaders from Michael Bell at NASA, Microsoft, Daan Hannessen at Shell, Zach Wahl at Enterprise Knowledge, Bill Kaplan and many others. Great meeting from Matthew Seaman from Consortium for Service Innovation and Dawn Brushammar finally! Thank you Barry Byrne for the event👏Excited for next year. #knowledgesummitdublin

Attending the Knowledge Summit Dublin 2024 at Trinity College was more than just a professional event - it was an experience shaped by the city itself. Dublin was an integral part of the conference, adding layers of depth and character that enhanced our time there. The venue influenced my decision to attend because I had worked in Dublin before and remembered how much the city can affect you. Every day, I went to the Creative Quarter area of the city for my meals and a half-pint of Guinness. This area is full of energy, with cafes, restaurants, and shops filled with art, architecture, history, and culture. I also blazed around the city to find all the Sean Scully paintings, a contemporary Irish artist I love but don't get to see very often. The Summit featured a flipped conference format, blending keynote sessions with interactive discussions. This format fostered deeper engagement and practical takeaways on topics like knowledge management and AI. Attendees had the chance to connect with thought leaders and peers, sharing insights and developing solutions. This format really worked for me – I participated more actively than in any other conference I attended. What set this event apart was Barry Byrne's leadership. It wasn't a corporate-run conference but a dedicated effort from Barry Byrne, his family, and volunteers. You could sense their commitment to the attendees. I highly recommend attending the Knowledge Summit Dublin in 2025 for both professional growth and for creativity and innovation. Dublin's unique energy leaves a lasting impact. #knowledgesummitdublin https://lnkd.in/eX34dVKJ

Reflecting on an inspiring session with Ed Hoffman and Michael Bell who reinvigorated my understanding of lessons learned by sharing NASA's definition of lessons learned: "knowledge or understanding gained by experience - either from a successful mission, project, or failure." Thank you for offering both a true and useful way of thinking about lessons learned! #KnowledgeSummitDublin #KnowledgeManagement #NASA
