To fully understand your farm and crop performance, soil analysis should be used alongside our additional soil and tissue analysis services. - Our crop tissue scan assesses nutrient levels in plant tissue, ensuring your crops are performing at their best. - #CarbonCheck analyses soil carbon levels, a crucial step for tillage farmers focused on soil health or exploring carbon market opportunities. - Our slurry analysis service evaluates the organic nutrient content in your slurry, giving you a precise understanding of where it's needed. This could lower your fertiliser costs. By combining these services, you gain a comprehensive view of your nutrient management strategy and can monitor crop performance throughout the season. About us
IAS Laboratories is an environmental and agricultural testing laboratory with extensive experience of water, soil, compost, sludge and silage issues. We have a long track record of delivering successful long term testing, monitoring and sampling project around Ireland. IAS Laboratories provide value added professional services addressing the environmental, technical and commercial challenges faced in this dynamic environment. Established over 30 years ago, IAS Laboratories was set up as part of the Irish Sugar Factory as a research and development laboratory. IAS Laboratories has, since then expanded and developed its’ services to cover the broader analytical requirements of the agricultural, environmental and geotechnical sectors. In February 2022 IAS Laboratories joined the Cawood Scientific Group. The UK’s largest specialist provider of analytical laboratory testing services for the land-based industries. With multiple sites worldwide, Cawood will allow us to grow and invest in our capabilities and capacity with the backing of the wider group. IAS Laboratory will continue to grow and develop from our Co. Carlow base while working closely with the Cawood team to maintain our reputation for high quality and efficient service, and to build both businesses to meet customer demand. It’s #BioeconomyIrelandWeek! Ireland’s bioeconomy is growing rapidly, with many businesses and individuals in the country consciously using biological resources to produce food and energy whilst reducing waste. We support many of the event’s initiatives, including: • Testing and analysis of waste products/composts to help promote a circular bioeconomy and effective bio-waste management. • #CarbonCheck, our comprehensive soil carbon testing service to measure, monitor and benchmark carbon levels in your soil. This analysis package helps farmers improve soil health, as well as assess the impact of sustainable farming practices and mitigate climate change through carbon sequestration. A recent study by Agriland has found that 50% of the soils on Irish dairy farms need lime to correct suboptimal pH levels. For drystock farmers, this figure jumps to 65%. What can we do about this? Reliable, accredited soil analysis is crucial to help you determine pH levels. This means you can take corrective action as soon as possible, either by adding granulated lime to acidic soils or corrective sulphur to alkaline soils. Maintaining a soil pH between 6.3 and 6.6 regulates nutrient availability and supports biological processes in the soil. This will help support bumper crops and improve soil health overall. Our soil analysis package includes pH as standard. Our standard soil analysis package is ideal for benchmarking your soil’s health and tracking improvements over time. But don’t overlook the importance of analysing trace elements in your soil. These essential elements, though needed in small quantities, play a crucial role in crop yield and quality. Deficiencies can significantly limit both. Ensure your soil has everything it needs for optimal growth and productivity and contact us for a quote today: https://lnkd.in/e3-3mWyf. #SaferHealthierPlanet #BeWiseAndAnalyse #Agriculture #IrishFarming #SoilAnalysis

Which soil analysis package is right for you? Our standard soil service includes: - Morgans P - Morgans K - pH - Lime requirement. If you’re interested in enhancing overall soil health, you can add soil organic matter (SOM) analysis to your standard soil tests. SOM analysis allows you to make informed adjustments to improve soil fertility, water retention, and structure—key factors in optimising crop production and yield.
