giyst generates automated AI-powered video summaries to drive discovery and enable efficient consumption of the essence of content. Information overload and shortening attention spans are something we all struggle with on a daily basis. We just can’t keep up. And in more recent times, the absolute explosion of video content. By 2022 it’s estimated that 82% of all content created will be video...but we don’t have the attention spans to consume it. In fact only 24% of us will get to the end of a video if it’s over 20 minutes. But what if you could take, for example, a one hour long video and in an instant get the key parts, the essence? That’s where giyst comes in. giyst generates automated AI powered video summaries to drive discovery and enable efficient consumption of the essence of content. Video summaries result in more audience engagement - by at least 40%, as well as driving discovery of the right content. Long story short, giyst’s innovative summarisation engine simply integrates with video platforms and produces automated video summaries. giyst also generates data to improve search and provide valuable content recommendations.

Cork-based start-up Giyst, an innovative AI-driven video repurposing platform, has announced the launch of a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to close out a planned €750,000 seed round. The University College Dublin (UCD) spin-out company has already raised €525k from Enterprise Ireland and angel investors as part of the seed round and plans to use the funding to expand its operations and scale its innovative platform in the US.
