Perspective is critical. This little meme is true for most of us. We’re keeping this front of mind as we settle into our post summer work rhythm ☺️ Loving what you do and being good it doesn’t mean it’s all you are. We’re so much more than what we do 💕 #perspective #culture #wellbeing

If you are feeling like the ground is a little unsteady, Steven Bartlett's Law 1 might bring some comfort and a sense of direction. "Law 1 - Fill Your Five Buckets In The Right Order. This law explains the five buckets that determine your human potential, how to fill them and, crucially, in which order you should fill them." THE FIVE BUCKETS 💠 What you know (your knowledge) 💠 What you can do (your skills) 💠 Who you know (your network) 💠 What you have (your resources) 💠 What the world thinks of you (your reputation) Here's the man himself explaining how the five buckets law works. https://lnkd.in/e35r2Bk7

How do leaders in your organisation show people they genuinely care? Let’s make the intangibles more tangible and pop a note in the comments. What are those small and big gestures that make you feel valued?
We salute the great bosses out there who care for their people and teams, and avoid the actions, words and behaviors that destroy mental health. If you are one of these bosses, to you we say: Thank You.

A share from the L&D Connect event yesterday, kindly hosted by ESB. It was great to see new and familiar faces around the room. The networking witnessed was mighty and the time flew by! Below is a snapshot of shared learnings from ESB’s keynote and the Peer Mentoring Circles: ⚖ Balancing core learning with thematic optional learning helps meet the ‘busy’ challenge. 🖇 Linking leadership capabilities to values; make it relevant; focus on behaviours and ‘Power skills’ we want to see at all levels. 🎭 Link talent management to capability and strategy; leverage existing knowledge through mentoring, role rotation for succession; and visible representation of talent diversity. 🖥 The challenge of multiple platforms and the potential for over-burdening e-learning is a common concern; training non-tech champions relieving pressure on ICT; AI is not everything. 📍 - Defining DEI and making it relevant for everyone is a challenge, especially when there isn’t representation within; targets and structures are important; listening and workshopping definitions and ideas for what will make a difference. 🔎 Culture needs honesty and courage; systems and governance have an impact; understanding differences to find points of unity; make it visible ‘brand’; make it real not just perception; benchmarks and audits; leaders role modelling it in every aspect of work. The next event is already in the works with an end of May/early June date in the plans. We'll share more details towards the end of March. If you've not attended an event before and would like to get on the invite list, please register your interest here: https://lnkd.in/eYi5eDNP #peertopeersupport #learninganddevelopment a big thanks to; Dayna Caceres, Alla Savchenko, Peter McDermott, Anne Caulfield, Eimear Carney, Fiona Dowling, Clodagh Barry, Maria Travers, Tom McMahon, orla maher, @Sinead Burns Sinéad Scott, Anna Power, Brian Murphy, Denise Cullen, Denise Bianchi, Leonard Conaty, Maura Behan, @Neil Mcgeever Orla Dempsey, Paul Fallon, Rebecca B., Samuel Riggs, Suzanne Flynn, Yvonne Cooke, William Flynn.
