Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet, co funded by the Government of Ireland, the European Union and Network Companies, was established in January 1999 by a number of Senior Managers in organisations in the Carlow Kilkenny area. By working together, these organisations have developed new, low cost, customised, and locally based training solutions for their management and staff. We offer QQI Level 6 accredited courses, which include Manual Handling Instructor, Safety Management, People Management and Supervisory Management. All of the training courses we provide are open to any organisation within the Carlow and Kilkenny region, so if you are an interested in any of the programmes listed on our website or you are looking for a specific training program that is applicable to your organisation, we would be delighted to hear from you. To those that might think 5 years is a long time in a job ! Last night I got to celebrate with my colleagues in Skillnet Ireland and our 70 business networks. I have been involved with Skillnet 25 years this year and it’s been a privilege to be involved in upskilling with our business community - it’s gone by in a flash ! . Thanks to Skillnet Ireland for a lovely night and to my colleagues and friends well done. We will have our 25 year celebration in December for our network locally and I look forward to a trip down memory lane over the last 25 years

Last night we celebrated 25 years of Skillnet Ireland along with our 70 other network partners in the RDS. Congratulations to our promoter Lily Holmes, Managing Director of PB Machine Tech who received an award for her outstanding contribution to Skillnet Ireland. She has consistently provided leadership, driving new initiatives including diversity and inclusion. She has been instrumental in driving Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet's enterprise-led mission helping to deliver concrete impacts for the many businesses engaged with this Skillnet over the past 25 years. Lily and her father Paddy Byrne have been involved with Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet from the beginning in 1999.
