Thanks to all our Arts Members who joined us this morning for 'Corporate Sponsorship, Trusts and Foundations' in the lovely surrounds of LinkedIn Wilton Park. We heard from the formidable Oonagh O'Donovan of OKC about the developing philanthropic giving space and how best to engage with this world as a cultural organisation. We were then treated to a fireside chat between Louise O'Reilly FRSA and Ian Murray from Bank of Ireland on the need to win hearts and minds with sharp fundraising proposals, and how to lean on your network to ensure it gets into the right hands. Delighted to shine a spotlight on the limited-edition sculpture ‘Geallta’ crafted by woodturner Emmet Kane and commissioned by Business to Arts, through the ongoing generous support of daa for this year's Business to Arts Awards. Inspired by ancient Irish promise stones, the award was handcrafted from ebonised Irish Bur Oak and gilded with 23-carat gold, symbolising the purposeful partnerships celebrated. We were thrilled to work with Irish Life and artist Shannon Jade Wilson (The Meditative Creative) to commission this vibrant mural on Marlborough Street in collaboration with Scoil Chaoimhín in Dublin 1. Shannon worked with the students to co-create the design for the mural during workshops which Irish Life attended, before painting the final piece over the course of a month. Many thanks to Deputy Lord Mayor, Cllr Donna Cooney, and to Declan Bolger, Gillian Fitzgibbon, and Sarah Kerrigan from Irish Life who joined Shannon and our own Louise O'Reilly FRSA to launch this beautiful piece. #artcommissioning #purposefulpartnerships #communityarts

Last week at the Business to Arts Awards, Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland was awarded the Judges Special Recognition Award for their portfolio of partnerships with Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Wexford Festival Opera and Kid’s Own Publishing.
