Could Meghan Markle finally be making her much-awaited return to Instagram?
The Duchess of Sussex gave up her prolific social media presence when she officially married into the royal family in 2018.
However, there are now some whispers Meghan is resurrecting her Instagram handle and is quietly preparing for a major online comeback.
According to PageSix, Meghan's official Instagram is actually already live. Sources claim she secured the handle @meghan and has 23,300 followers – despite not posting a single thing yet.
The publication claims the former senior royal is in talks with several luxury brands to align with for her Instagram return.
She is especially keen to work with jewellery brand Cartier, it is believed.
A source told Page Six: "Meghan was set to go live on Insta, but changed her mind shortly before she launched her "Archetypes" podcast, so it's just sitting there now."
Meghan, who posted often on her own social media and through her lifestyle blog The Tig before marrying Prince Harry, hinted at an Instagram return in 2022.
"Do you want to know a secret?" she told The Cut. "I'm getting back…on Instagram."
Meghan is yet to follow through with this declaration.
She and Harry once shared Instagram snaps through their joint account @sussexroyal, which attracted one million followers within six hours upon its launch, until they shut it down in 2020.
Stay tuned to see if Meghan posts on the grid once again...
