The Army Substance Abuse Prevention program provides a healthy installation environment, free of substance abuse and substance abuse related problems for Soldiers, Civilians, retirees and their Family Members. The mission of the Army Substance Abuse Program is to strengthen the overall fitness and effectiveness of the Army's workforce, to conserve manpower and enhance the combat readiness of Soldiers through prevention, deterrence and assistance. ASAP enhances the combat readiness of Soldiers by providing guidance and leadership on all non-clinical alcohol and other drug policy issues; developing, establishing, administering, and evaluating non-clinical alcohol and other drug (AOD) abuse prevention, education, and training programs; overseeing the Military, Drug-Free Workplace and Department of Transportation biochemical (drug) testing programs. We are committed to understanding our supported units and their missions, anticipating what is needed to sustain mission readiness, and proudly serving as a valued member of the Commander’s battle staff. The Administrative Services Division provides oversight, training, and guidance for the Fort Gregg-Adams Records Management Program in record-keeping, Army addresses, office symbols, official mail and distribution, forms and Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act requests.
The mission of the Casualty Assistance Center is to provide compassionate, unwavering commitment to the Families of our fallen Soldiers, retirees and veterans. Casualty Assistance provides assistance to next-of-kin of critically injured, ill or deceased Army soldiers, retirees, and veterans to include Benefits Counseling; Military Funeral Honors; and Casualty Assistance / Notification Officer training (CAO/CNO).
The various agencies within the Military Personnel Division are responsible for providing installation level personnel services to military personnel and family members in the Fort Gregg-Adams community. These far-reaching responsibilities directly impact the lives of active duty, reserve and National Guard soldiers, their families, and the Mid-Atlantic military retiree community.
Transition Assistance Program's mission is to provide Soldiers, DA Civilians, Retirees, and Soldier's Family members with counseling, employment and education workshops, and seminars required to achieve the mandated compliance in law and policy Career Readiness Standards (CRS) in orders to "prepare" and "connect" transitioning personnel to ensure the greatest opportunities for successful personal and career achievement upon transition from active duty.
