A Huge Thank You to All Who Joined Our JUPAS Consultation Week 2024! 🙌 We were delighted to welcome James Farndon, the CEO of Hong Kong China Rugby, as well as our star lecturers Christopher Garvey and Jordanne Grey, to our event last Saturday. It was a valuable opportunity for attendees to explore our upcoming Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Sport course (Reg. No. 253204), which is scheduled to launch in next month. We are also grateful to our alumni, Wing Yip and Pete Ko, for sharing their study experiences and career development after graduating from our university. Their heartfelt advice offered invaluable perspectives for our future 3-year full-time bachelor's degree students and parents. We chatted about the media’s role at the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, and the students got to practice their interview techniques - and find out what it’s like to score a try in front of 40,000 screaming fans! On behalf of Hong Kong China Rugby, huge congratulations to the match officials selected for the Rugby Sevens at this year’s Olympic Games Paris 2024 starting today. Craig Chan (Hong Kong China Rugby) is selected to officiate the Women’s Sevens, and Matt Rodden (HKCR Head of Refereeing) is participating as a TMO (Television Match Official) for the Men’s Sevens. The Hong Kong China Rugby Community celebrate Hong Kong China’s refereeing presence at all of the Olympic Games to have featured Rugby Sevens to date. Gabriel Lee Wing Yi was our first match official representative at the Olympic Games Rio 2016 and Matt Rodden also refereed at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. All the very best for the Tournament Craig and Matt.
