Enabling 2FA for your Fasthosts Account users

How do I enable 2FA for my Fasthosts Account users?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) enhances the security of your account by requiring a generated code from a trusted device as well as your normal username and password in order to log in to your account. You can easily enable 2FA for your Fasthosts account users.

What will I need?

Step 1

Enabling 2FA for your user

Step 1

From the account navigation menu in the top right, click My User.

Click the Two-factor authentication link.

Step 4

Click the Set up device button.

Step 5

Open the One-Time Password app on the device you want to use and either scan the QR code or enter the key presented.

The OTP app we have used in this article is Google Authenticator available for both Android and iOS

Step 6

The App will present you with a 6 digit code, enter the code into the fields provided and click Finish Set Up.

Your device is now registered for your user, you will need to enter a code generated by this app each time you log in to this user from now on.

Enabling 2FA for other users in your account

Step 1

From the account navigation menu, click Manage users.

Select the user you want to enable 2FA for.

Click the Two-factor authentication link.

Click the Set up device button.

Open the One-Time Password app on the device you want to use and either scan the QR code or enter the key presented.
