Jiles signed a reserve/future contract with the Patriots on Monday. Jiles, an undrafted rookie from West Florida, spent most of his first season with the Patriots' practice squad after being dropped by the Giants in late August. The 24-year-old has yet to appear in an NFL game, but he's expected to have the opportunity to compete for a spot on New England's active roster throughout the offseason.

The 24-year-old wideout went undrafted out of West Florida this past offseason after recording 54 receptions for 1,081 yards and 13 touchdowns during his final collegiate season.

The Giants waived Jiles on Sunday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. Jiles caught one pass on five targets for 21 yards in the Giants' preseason finale against the Jets on Saturday. Should he go unclaimed off waivers, Jiles will look to sign with a team in need of wide receiver depth.
