Retro adventure platformer game
Graphsx is a premium adventure game for PC from developer Mad Crab Team. It is a 2D side-scrolling platformer taking inspiration from classic tube TV sets and how they display images on screen for its themes and gameplay. Players will guide a lone pixel on a journey from the tubes to showing up in front of viewers.
Pixel adventure
Graphsx takes place inside a television set wherein you will control a lone pixel named Ata.Co to figure out the cause of why images don't appear on the screen. You'll face hundreds of challenges across multiple levels that feature a unique color-swapping mechanic. You will need to match the colors of specific blocks to pass through them and be able to proceed to the next area.
What's more, you also need to be wary of live electrical wires that will zap you on contact. The core gameplay loop is simple, but you can take on the time attack mode to try for the fastest times. Now, given the nature of the game, some players with particular photo sensitivities will find the bright flashing color too much to handle.
Picture on screen
All in all, Graphsx is a simple yet engaging platformer with a unique retro charm. Its premise is clever, takes an engineering principle, and forms a game around it. If you like this type of game, it is worth checking out. Play it now and see for yourself.
