Renderings of our latest project for a net-zero residence in Halandri.
The initial idea was based on the characteristics of the cube. Three cubes come into contact and plastically interact to create the desired voids & full nesses. The residence was designed to be closed to the street, seeking an introversion, while at the same time open to the garden, fluidizing the boundaries of indoor and outdoor spaces.
The main entrance delimits the central movement axis of the residence, perpendicular to Diomidous street, which is adopted on all floors. The living room, kitchen and dining room function as a single space, based on the same level as the garden and visually unified through the large window openings.
The first floor hosts the rest and bathroom areas, while the attic is an autonomous entity with its own bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. In the basement there is a multipurpose area, storage and parking spaces.
