Imagine being a kid, fully engaged in a fun and creative session where your imagination comes to life. You’re drawing, writing, storytelling, connecting with friends through shared ideas and inspiring activities. This is what we provided to the wonderful kids at 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 during our 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩. In partnership with the Tirah Foundation, MEYFUND Foundation, and Lilalab Creatives, this workshop consists of three exciting sessions on the 23rd and 30th of November and on the 7th of December 2024. Our first session was unforgettable. Here’s what the kids loved: ➡️ Turning picture prompts into creative stories.  ➡️ Listing objects from their surroundings on their writing sheets to build their writing skills ➡️ Creating and colouring images inspired by their stories ➡️ A fun lesson about how to identify colours ➡️ A new song to make the session more interesting and memorable. The smiles on their faces and their excitement for the first session were priceless. But guess what? We are just getting started. Session 2 promises even more creativity, connection, and fun. In partnership with the Young Investors Network (YIN), we had an incredible experience at our Career Development Workshop with about 300 students from over 15 different Senior High Schools across Ghana who were eager to learn and explore their future careers. Most of them were uncertain about what courses to pursue at the tertiary level and which career paths best suited their interests and skills. Through the workshop, these students gained clarity on identifying their strengths and mapping out potential career paths. We also provided each student with a comprehensive handbook filled with resources to guide them further, including detailed information on: - How to build a strong portfolio - How to create a resume and - Additional Career Tools and Resources This handbook will equip students with the knowledge and tools to make informed career decisions and present themselves professionally in any field they choose to pursue. The Tirah Foundation, officially launched on the 6th of May 2024 is dedicated to impacting lives and empowering future leaders. This project provides safe and reliable access to clean water for drinking, sanitation, and hygiene to the staff, students, and a population of about 13,000 inhabitants.
