Willy Rodriguez is a musical project started by Willard Foker: an anonymous American teenager – as well as his band mate Star Starer: an anonymous Canadian-American who has been making music since he was 14.

The two met and collaborated based on mutual interests in Music and Art back in late 2020, where they collaborated on “Rap” music. Willard used the name “Willy” combined with Rodriguez due to his Bi-Racial background. He based it off his real name having a similar sounding awkwardness as “Willy Rodriguez”.

Willard being inspired by music such as Her’s, Los Retros, and Fur, had a desire to make “Real” music for a long time, which then had been satiated by meeting Star. Together they create a blend of emo-inspired fuzzy jangle pop.

They are currently working on music more inspired and akin to Car Seat Headrest, Teen Suicide, and Pill Friends. Together they create a blend of emo-inspired fuzzy jangle pop.
