About Runrig

Originally The Run Rig Dance Band, the three piece band consisted of brothers and songwriters Calum and Rory MacDonald, and their friend Blair Douglas.

Formed in 1973, Runrig (as they became known) had their most successful period in the 80s and 90s releasing eight albums. The line up consisted of Calum and Rory with Donnie Munro on vocals. Malcolm Jones was on guitar with Iain Bayne on drums and Pete Wishart on keyboards.

From the late 90s/ early 00s, Bruce Guthro took over vocal duty with Brian Hurran on keyboards.

Runrig released fourteen studio albums with numerous collections and live albums
