As inferenced by the title; Charli, much like on “Von Dutch,” sees her own importance with the hyperpop and pc music community, with “” being in direct reference to the self-surrounding lyrics.

But Charli doesn’t center it to just herself, she intercontextually mentions those who have helped inspire, teach, and form the mantle of ‘mother’ that now falls on Charli; with individuals like Gabbriette, Julia Fox, and A.G. Cook all being mentioned throughout the song.
