There's no room left in the penalty box after Islanders and Panthers get into nasty scrum

A nasty scrum erupted between the New York Islanders and Florida Panthers during Game 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs, leading to a crowded situation in the penalty box.

The scuffle, which was relatively minor compared to what happened over at the Red Wings-Lightning game, happened after the whistle in front of goalie Roberto Luongo’s net when the Islanders’ fourth line of Matt Martin, Cal Clutterbuck and Casey Cizikas tangled with the Panthers’ Shawn Thornton.

A total of 7 penalties were handed out, three on each team, with Cizikas getting two roughing minors for hitting below the belt.

The Panthers even the series 1-1 with a 3-1 win. The two teams will meet again for Game 3 in New York on Sunday.
