New Knicks center Robin Lopez has declared war on NBA mascots.

In a revealing interview with Bleacher Report’s Howard Beck, he talks about the origins of his hate.

“They were never too receptive to me,” Lopez said. “I was a taller child. I always looked a little older than I was. So I never got the proper attention from those mascots.”

As for future mascot attacks?

“I feel like the public really wants me to go after the Pelican.”
