In one of the silliest calls of the NCAA tournament, a ref called Wyoming’s Derek Cooke Jr. for a charge here on this ridiculously amazing dunk against UNI.

Listen: I don’t care what the rules say. This is not a charge. If the defender isn’t even making a play on the ball, and is just trying to stick his little hands up and get run over, that should not be rewarded. Cooke was heading to the bucket, and the defender knew it, and didn’t bother trying to play basketball. This rule is dumb. Ban charges.
