The #EuMA Roberto Sorrentino Prize 🏆 is an annual award that recognizes exceptional young professionals in the microwave field who have demonstrated outstanding technical achievements and contributions. 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that Prof. Fabian Lurz has won this prestigious distinction at the #EuMW24 event in Paris! 👏 Prof. Lurz's accomplishments stand out, with his extensive work in microwave circuits and systems, particularly for low-cost and low-power metrology applications. Prof. Lurz's journey began with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology from Friedrich–Alexander University Erlangen–Nuremberg (FAU), where he later joined the Institute for Electronics Engineering as a Research Assistant and rose to become the Group Leader of the Electronic Systems Group. His dedication to innovation is reflected in multiple awards, including the First Prize of the High Sensitivity Radar Student Design Competition at the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS) (2014, 2017, 2018) and the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Graduate Fellowship Award in 2016.
