There are those who hope for things to change, and those who make change happen. At the Women’s Forum, we celebrate these changemakers every day 🌟 There were plenty of women to celebrate this week at #REF24 and #UED24 -- women making a difference. Whether as part of a network, or on their own, They bring the economy to life in every region, thanks to the Femmes du Medef network, founded by Dominique Carlac'h and now led by patricia Vialle👏🏼 They propose ideas and innovate, like Marlène Schiappa, who created @Actives to identify and support female leaders of tomorrow (and today!) 🚀 They shed light on the opportunities, and risks, of AI for gender equality, like the brilliant Asma MHALLA 👩🏻🏫 They're committed to a responsible economy, like Julia FAURE Mouvement Impact France 🇫🇷 They unite and create synergies to build, together, a fairer and more sustainable society, like Mariam KHATTAB 🤝 They innovate ecologically and socially, and keep sustainability at the forefront of their success Lucie Basch Too Good To Go 🌱 They're shaking things up in politics, and inspiring a new generation of women in leadership Marine Tondelier 🧑🎤 They're gaining power, they're using it, and we’re all lucky to benefit from it ! #women #powertoempower 👊🏽

🔥Carrying the flame of gender equality Last Night’s 2024 Olympics ceremony in Paris celebrated in a bold, intense and creative way the opening of the 33rd Olympic Games of the modern era. An Olympiad actively committed to demonstrate that sport is a powerful tool for equality and inclusion 💪🫶 🥇These games will indeed be the very first with perfect parity between male and female athletes. We’ve come a long way since the first participation of women at Olympic Games in Paris in 1900, when they were 22 among 997 athletes. 💛 The “sorority” chapter of the ceremony paid tribute to 10 golden heroines of French history, whose statues magically appeared out of pedestals in the Seine, close to the Alexander the 3rd bridge : Olympe de Gouges, Alice Milliat, Gisèle Halimi, Simone de Beauvoir, Paulette Nardal Jeanne Barret, Louise Michel, Christine de Pizan, Alice Guy et Simone Veil. Historical role models that courageously paved the way for equality. Tony Estanguet Paris 2024 president, states that those statues might even integrate Paris public space, where there are currently 260 male statues for 40 female statues. ✨ Incredibly powerful international female artists performed during this ceremony : Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura, Juliette Armanet and Céline Dion. Role models of our times. 🔥an Olympic flame that’s been carried in perfect parity all along its journey, finally reaching Marie-José Pérec and Teddy Riner - female and male french multi medalist athletes - who unitedly lit up the Olympic cauldron. 🏅Sports and the Olympic Games are one of the most beautiful ways to transcend our differences, rebuild unity and reconcile on a global scale. These choices, commitments and statements intensely resonate with the Women’s Forum’s next Global Meeting theme : Reconciliation. Mark your calendars for October 23 and 24th ✨📆 Well done 👏🏼 Anne Hidalgo Emmanuel Macron Tony Estanguet Thomas Jolly Thierry Reboul Pierre Rabadan Aurore Bergé Gabriel Attal Publicis Sport Daphné Bürki
