At SBFE, we care for our people’s safety and mental health. This year’s theme of World Mental Health Day, organised by World Health Organization, highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. We have many programmes for our employees across the countries where we operate, here’s just a few ways that we are supporting our people: 👩⚕️ In France we operate Safeplace, which identifies if we have people at risk and how to improve the situation over time, while offering them instantaneous and anonymous free mental health professional support. 👨⚕️ In EECM-Benelux, we partnered with #OpenUp, which is an external platform providing personalised support services from certified psychologists and lifestyle experts to aid the mental-wellbeing of our people. 👂 In the UK, we worked with MIND to train our own mental health first aiders. A network of employees now form “The Listening Network” and online resources are available to all employees. 📞 In Spain, we work with Stimulus Care, psychological help program for employees and their families. Consultations can be made by phone, chat, video call or message. This service is free, anonymous, confidential and available 24/7/365. #WorldMentalHealthDay

👏Makiko Ono, CEO of Suntory Beverage & Food (SBF), has been named one of Fortune Most Powerful Women (MPW) 2024👏 MPW 2024 has selected the 100 most powerful women in the world from six continents, 19 countries and territories, and 14 different industries. These 100 executives possess significant influence in the business environment and embody the qualities and capabilities of leaders. Three Japanese were named this year, and one of them was Makiko! In 2024, SBF faced a challenging environment of higher raw material prices and a weak yen, but under Makiko's outstanding leadership, SBF achieved a 9% increase in revenue and a 20% increase in operating income in the first half of 2024, to $5.7 billion and $412 million. Makiko Ono, CEO of Suntory Beverage & Food (SBF), has expressed her commitment to accelerating international business expansion🌏 Makiko was recently interviewed by Le Figaro in France about SBF's global developments. SBF's industrial activities have been steadily expanding both domestically and internationally, including the recent establishment of new factories in Australia and Southeast Asia. “Most of the growth potential lies outside of Japan,” Makiko stated. By leveraging the potential of about 30 key brands, SBF will review the recipes and packaging to implement strategies tailored to regional business opportunities, aiming for further expansion in overseas markets.
