🚀 Advancing Photonic Quantum Computing: New Feedforward Operations in Perceval We're excited to announce the integration of feedforward operations in Perceval 0.12, our open-source photonic quantum computing framework. This represents a key milestone in our roadmap [https://lnkd.in/eJg8SYs7] toward fault-tolerant quantum computing through our SPOQC architecture. Feedforward operations enable the use of classical measurement results to determine subsequent quantum operations in real-time - a critical capability for: • Adaptive error correction • Advanced quantum protocols like teleportation • Optimization of quantum resources 👉 Our R&D team is working on two parallel tracks: while this simulation capability is now available to the scientific community through Perceval, we are also implementing feedforward operations in our next generation of QPUs, soon to be available to our users. Want to learn more about feedforward operations and why they matter for photonic quantum computing? 💡 Want to know how a leader in quantum computing was born ? 🎧 “In 2020, we thought that the development of quantum computers should take place in a company rather than in a laboratory, and that we needed to allocate resources to accelerate the development of these computers. Since we were physicists, we were just working on the photon sources. So we hired someone who specializes in algorithms, Shane Mansfield, to help us move to the next step, which was the development of quantum computers at Quandela. Then, in 2022, we brought in computer scientists, notably Jean Senellart, to build the entire software stack needed beyond the computer.” This is how Pascale Senellart, physicist, research director at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (C2N) at CNRS, member of the Academy of Sciences, and co-founder of Quandela, reflects on her entrepreneurial journey in the France Culture podcast "La Science, CQFD." [Link in the comments below 👇] Pascale also delved deeper into the topic, discussing the principle of the photonic technology on which Quandela is based, as well as the quantum ecosystem and international competition. Valerian Giesz, COO and co-founder of Quandela, completed the interview with a live report from our factory to further explain photonic quantum technology. Thank you Natacha Triou ! #QuantumComputing #Tech #Podcast #FranceCulture #Quandela

🎶 The Sound of Photons: Exploring the Future of Music with Quantum Computing 🎶 Who said quantum computing was all about solving complex problems? This Friday, let's tune into something different! 🎵 ✨ In a fascinating interview with Eduardo R. Miranda, Professor and composer at the University of Plymouth, we explore how quantum meets music. Using Quandela's Altair photonic QPU on the Cloud, Miranda is creating unique symphonies that challenge our understanding of musical composition. 🖥️ Moving Beyond Classical AI: Professor Miranda shared how quantum computing offers something special: "Quantum computers react to my tones, creating innovative sounds that classical AI cannot produce without needing big data models." No massive datasets required - just pure quantum creativity! 🎧 A New Era of Creativity: "Quantum computing is not just about speed—it's about a new way of thinking," says Miranda. Imagine playing a quantum computer like an instrument, creating melodies that might never be heard again! Want to see what else quantum can do? Proud to have our CEO, Niccolo Somaschi, represent Quandela in President Emmanuel Macron's delegation to Saudi Arabia. Excited to contribute to critical discussions on energy transition and digital transformation, showcasing how our quantum computing solutions are bridging technological frontiers. #QuantumComputing #AIInnovation #InternationalCollaboration #EnergyTransition
It was a big pleasure and honour to be among the selected representatives, with Quandela, to join President Emmanuel Macron’s delegation during his state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. "Ambition and concrete actions" is the shared message from French and Saudi representatives, on the main topics of #energy transition and digital transformation through #AI - where challenges of energy consumption of hyperscalers remain open. #Quantumcomputing is increasingly solidifying its role on both fronts, and the solutions currently provided by Quandela, are starting to create the missing link. We are working to actively bridge and fill this gap. The message was shared by the key institutions and leaders. The next steps are coming - stay tuned! A warm thanks to the institutions for the invitation, organisation and great welcome. As Jim Malone said in The Untouchables: 'If you're afraid of getting a rotten apple, don't go to the barrel. Get it off the tree.' Well, in quantum computing and AI, we're taking this advice quite literally! 🌳 Instead of just searching for established talent, we're nurturing the next generation of quantum-AI experts right from the source. Our open AI-quantum challenge (https://lnkd.in/dVkMJe8Y), organized with Scaleway, is calling all fresh minds to tackle the impossible, and we'll be at MVA Forum (https://lnkd.in/d7HWe-z2) tomorrow, at ENS Paris-Saclay, scouting brilliant students from MVA Master. Unlike Eliot Ness hunting for incorruptible officers, we're hunting for innovative minds ready to revolutionize the quantum-AI landscape. No fedoras or Tommy guns required - just passion for cutting-edge technology! Are you ready to make quantum computing an offer it can't refuse? (Oops, wrong movie! 😉) Come and meet Pierre-Emmanuel Emeriau and Daphne Wang on our booth! #QuantumComputing #ArtificialIntelligence #TalentDevelopment #Innovation #FutureOfTech
