From September 10 to 12, the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Marrakech will host the International Conference on Environment and Health in Africa, co-organized by Yenda Africa, One Health Maroc, and Galien Africa. This conference is organized under the aegis of Mohammed VI Health Sciences and with the support of the Ministries of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, and Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forestry. The aim of the conference is to deliver an action pact for the environment and health for the Atlantic countries of Africa. Additionally, it will lay the groundwork for the Forum Galien Afrique / Prix Galien International and the One Sustainable Health by All Conference, which will take place from October 22 to 26. Institut Pasteur, our new sheltering foundation The One Sustainable Health for All Foundation (OSHA) is now placed under the aegis of the Institut Pasteur, by decision of its Board of Governors on July 3rd. Created on September 1st, 2020, during the pandemic, under the aegis of the Fondation Bullukian in Lyon, which we thank; the OSHA Foundation is pleased today to join the Institut Pasteur. The Pasteur Network and all its members will be able to enhance their actions in synergy with the members and partners of the One Sustainable Health for All Foundation. A very nice journey around Sustainable Health was organized on July 3rd with the Fabrique D'avenir at PariSanté Campus in preparation for the Université de la terre, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025. The Université de la terre is a unique platform where pivotal and strategic debates take place to address the great challenges threatening our planet. Organized at UNESCO, it welcomed more than 10,000 visitors in 2022, and the 2025 edition is now under preparation for March 14 and 15, 2025. We thank all the speakers, particularly the members of our OSH Forum, for contributing to these rich exchanges that deepen our understanding of the challenges to One Sustainable Health. Health will be one of the major themes discussed next March, in connection with climate change, pollution, food, lifestyles, the city, and the impact of AI... The One Health Seminar for the European Region organized at the Veterinary University of Vienna by the Quadripartite Organizations (FAO, World Health Organization, World Organisation for Animal Health, UN Environment Programme) from 11 to 13 June is about to conclude. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of participating in the Partner Platform, a crucial collaborative hub that was part of this seminar. This Partner Platform under the Regional One Health Coordination Mechanism for Europe and Central Asia fostered dialogue about #OneHealth among stakeholders—including Quadripartite organizations, NGOs, development banks, and academic institutions. We seized this opportunity to advocate for a more structured and significant role for civil society organizations within the framework of the Partner Platform of the Quadripartite. Our goal is to enhance collaboration and ensure that these organizations have a stronger voice in promoting One Health solutions for all. The meeting was supported by the European Union and the Austrian Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care, and Consumer Protection. Yesterday we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the MediLabSecure project at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. This conference highlighted a decade of advancements in combating vector-borne diseases in the Mediterranean region, significantly impacted by climate change. The project has received support by the European Commission and enhanced collaboration across 22 countries, strengthening regional cooperation and multisectoral approaches to foster preparedness and response capacities. Benoit MIRIBEL emphasized the integration of human, animal, and environmental health through the One Sustainable Health Forum to achieve global sustainable health. The Forum's objectives include international collaboration between experts from various disciplines, promoting the One Health approach to accelerate SDGs, and influencing policies to preserve ecosystems equitably.
