  • 🌍 Kicking Off the Earth Observation Business Summit of the World Space Business Week! 🚀 After an insightful and engaging Summit for Satellite Financing, we are excited to kick off another summit today!  But first, let's check the key highlights from yesterday's discussions.   𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 2024 𝐃𝐚𝐲 3 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 🚀 💼 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 Larger legacy players are increasingly investing in and partnering with startups, unlocking new opportunities for innovation. In today’s geopolitical climate, fragmentation in the market is a reality. Companies with an international presence and strong local capabilities can attract top talent and better serve customers across various regions.   🛰 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 (𝐒𝐒𝐀) The SSA market is still largely driven by government contracts, with commercial uptake remaining low. While public sector data and services—especially in the US and Europe—play a crucial role in improving safety in orbit, commercial solutions offer more advanced features that boost efficiency in satellite operations. Collaboration and innovation in the commercial sector are critical to complementing public services and ensuring better satellite management.   🔍 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐅𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐒𝐀 The rise of different data sources for SSA has brought attention to the importance of data fusion. Companies with diverse business models are exploring technical advancements in this area to enhance the overall effectiveness of their SSA offerings, driving innovation and safety in space operations.   Thank you to all our speakers and moderators for their insights and contributions. We hope these discussions lead to meaningful partnerships and innovation in the global space industry.   #WSBW #WSBW2024 #SpaceEvent #SpaceSummit #SpaceBusiness #SSA #InnovationInSpace

  • 🚀 To meet #global #connectivity demands and needs, an annual average of 3,700 #satellites are expected to launch over the next decade amounting to a total mass of 7 tons! 📈 The surge in satellite #launches is driven by a concentrated demand from major Non Geostationary Orbit (#NGSO) #constellations such as SpaceX’s #Starlink, Amazon Project Kuiper, #Qianfan (#G60) and #Guowang. These mega-constellations will account for 65% of the demand in satellites but only 14% to the overall manufacturing and launch value due to vertical integration. As a result, established manufacturers could face cost pressures and to increase efficiencies and remain competitive While #commercial operators will continue to dominate, #government customers in both #civil and #defence agencies from major space-faring nations, will represent two thirds of total satellite manufacturing and launch #market 🛰️ Stay ahead of the curve with our ‘Satellites to be Built and Launched’ report, providing intricate, line-by-line, detail and intelligence throughout the satellite value chain.
