Everyone knows what a Michelin tire is, but did you know that Michelin can also make him talk? For over 15 years, Michelin has been a key player in connected tires. So... what makes the Michelin connected tire so smart? For us, a connected tire only makes sense if it's combined with algorithms, data and a relevant, reliable and robust ecosystem. As the only object in contact with the road, it provides unique information in real time throughout its life. And this data is made intelligible by algorithms that draw their power from our long-standing knowledge of tire usage, tire physics and vehicle behavior. That's what makes it intelligent! Capable of providing essential information to promote safety, operational efficiency and a reduced environmental footprint. Tomorrow, it will be a precious source for further enriching the development of Michelin's connected solutions to support both professional fleets and private individuals. Because we must avoid the irreversible consequences of climate change, Michelin has decided to strengthen its greenhouse gas emission targets by aiming at net-zero, not only in its operations, but across its entire value chain by 2050, in line with a 1.5°C trajectory. Making the fight against global warming a priority, Michelin has set much more ambitious targets for 2030, with a further 20-point reduction compared with the previous target for its own operations. An ambition endorsed by The Science Based Targets initiative, which provide companies with a clearly defined pathway for reducing their emissions in line with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.   “We are delighted to receive SBTi's validation. It’s a genuine recognition of the value of our ambition which demonstrates the seriousness and sincerity of our approach based on scientific requirements. We are in the right direction. It’s up to us now to deliver our transition plan together with our stakeholders " explains Pierre-Martin HUET, Senior Vice President Sustainable Development and Impact at Michelin. The new Alpine A 290 has just been unveiled at Le Mans... And it's fitted with tailor-made Michelin tires!   The iconic brand car begins a new chapter in its history with its first small electric sports car.   In order to carry over the A110's hallmark agility and fun-to-drive reputation to the A290 electric city car, Alpine Cars decided to entrust us with the exclusive task of designing a range of tires entirely dedicated to the first model of its "Dream Garage".   For the A290 project, two years of research and testing were needed to develop three specific 19-inch tires: two summer tires and one winter tire, all three bearing exclusive markings created for Alpine's future electric range, here with the code A29.

Last week, we celebrated those who, on a foggy morning in June 1944, set out to liberate a continent most of them had never set foot on. It was a chance to say thank you. Thank you for their courage and self-sacrifice, which changed the course of history. That's why we partnered with the Best Defense Foundation and Delta Air Lines to arrange for 60 World War II veterans from the Battle of Normandy to return to France for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. After a special charter flight traveling from Atlanta to Deauville, the veterans participated in a series of parades, school visits, ceremonies and the official commemoration on June 6, attended by Florent Menegaux, CEO of the Michelin Group, and many Heads of State. Moments out of time, reminding us that we must never forget. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eFDYHEN7

Everybody talks about tech, but not everyone understands the power of technology. To get up to speed, the TECHNODAYS at our Ladoux R&D center in Clermont-Ferrand were THE event not to be missed.   For 3 days, the Group's manufacturing and purchasing teams showcased the state of the art in Michelin process engineering, which drives production at our 88 industrial sites around the world. And for the occasion, we invited over 30 prestigious supplier partners, specialized in process automation, IT, Industrial components, vision, etc. Three days for sharing with the entire Michelin Group all the innovation we are putting into manufacturing. 300 m of exhibition space, 50 stands, 30 partners, 50 conferences and more than 4,000 visitors, including all the worldwide engineering managers who came in France to live this special week. Artificial intelligence, data mining, robotics, digital twins: this was the perfect opportunity to highlight all the technological innovations implemented in our plants. Many thanks to our teams and all the partners who made this event possible. Once again, we proved that technology lies at the heart of innovation and Michelin's DNA!
