Latecoere is pleased to announce the appointment of Yves Yemsi as its new Group Chief Operating Officer & President EMEA (effective Feb. 1, 2025). Yves brings over 30 years of experience in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing industries, with a proven track record in industrialization, supply chain optimization, and operational excellence. He has held key executive positions at major player such as Airbus Aircraft, Flextronics International Industrial Ltda, and, more recently, Lilium, where he served as Chief Operating Officer, leading the industrialization and global supply chain development of innovative electrical aircraft. Yves Yemsi’s extensive international experience and visionary leadership will support Latecoere in its mission to deliver cutting-edge aerostructures and interconnection systems to clients worldwide. His appointment comes as Latecoere continues to expand its global presence and operational capabilities in response to evolving market demands. Comtek Advanced Structures, a Latecoere company, has been awarded the design-build contract for #composite floors on the De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited De Havilland #Canadair 515. The scope includes the complete flooring system for cabin and cockpit areas. The De Havilland Canadair 515 (DHC-515) is a new production purpose-built amphibious #firefighting aircraft developed by De Havilland Canada as an update to the CL-415 waterbomber. Building on the exceptional operational capability of the CL-415, this next generation aircraft offers added benefits to operators, including design changes that incorporate new materials and corrosion protection to reduce maintenance costs, along with a complete upgrade of the flight deck with an advanced avionics suite. Comtek Advanced Structures, a Latecoere Company, will supply a modernized #flooring system that incorporates advanced composite materials and lightweight panel design. Panels will be fabricated on Comtek’s highly optimized panel production line located in Burlington, Ontario. Last week, our teams were honored to welcome the President of the Republic of #Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, to our competence center in Plovdiv. 🇫🇷 🇧🇬 The President was received by Patrick Bernard, General Manager of Latecoere in Bulgaria; Perceval de Cagny, Supply Chain VP at Latecoere; His Excellency Joël Meyer, Ambassador of the Republic of France in Bulgaria; and Vessela Todorova-Mosettig, Director of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During his visit, President Radev explored Latecoere’s rich history, spanning more than a century, and engaged in insightful discussions with our leadership team. The tour also highlighted our plant’s expertise in producing high-quality #aerostructure products. To mark the occasion, the President congratulated our employees as we celebrated the 6th anniversary of the plant’s opening. As a gesture of appreciation and to share a touch of #Toulouse’s cultural heritage, we presented President Radev with traditional violet candies and a jersey from Stade Toulousain Rugby, the legendary rugby team that embodies the spirit and values of our home region. Welcome on board! Latecoere has announced the appointment of Sam Marnick as President of Latecoere Americas. She will report to the Group CEO, André-Hubert Roussel, and will be directly responsible for #Aerostructures Operations #Americas. Sam brings deep experience in the American #aerospace ecosystem. Her leadership will help accelerate the development of the Group in this region to focus on delivering against growing customer needs for products & services as well as driving growth given the extensive capability set across complex aerostructures assembly, composites, machining and interconnection systems across all different production sites. Sam has been a member of Latecoere’s Board of Directors since April 2024 and has had the benefit of visiting many of the Group sites since her appointment. Sam Marnick commented: “I am excited to start in my new role at Latecoere. Having seen first-hand the capabilities we have in a number of our sites and having met many people on the team, I believe there is huge potential for this business ahead as we seek to deliver on the growing needs of our customers. There is obviously a lot of work ahead as we are still operating in an environment with significant supply chain disruption which needs to be managed.” Sam has spent most of her career in the American aerospace industry, particularly at Spirit AeroSystems. Most recently, as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President of the Commercial business, she led a team of over 12,000 employees across nine sites in the United States, Europe and Asia, managing a $5 billion P&L. Her scope included manufacturing operations and the supply chain. A search to identify a replacement for Sam’s board position has been launched, and Latecoere intends to appoint that replacement as soon as possible.

Une immersion au cœur du monde industriel, accompagnée d’Aurelie FOURMOND, Ingénieure pour l’École, dans le cadre du dispositif « IPE ». Ce programme innovant permet à des ingénieurs de mettre leur expertise au service du système éducatif, en collaboration avec les rectorats. Cette rencontre avait pour objectif de renforcer les passerelles entre l’école et l’entreprise, et in fine d’inspirer les jeunes générations en éveillant des vocations pour les métiers industriels.
