THIS WEEK! 🗓️ From 6 to 8 November 2024, the International Network on Financial Education (INFE), responsible for Global Money Week, is holding their annual meeting in cooperation with OJK Indonesia. The meeting will feature jurisdictions from across the world coming together to discuss the importance and future of financial education. It will cover topics ranging from financial literacy and sustainable finance, to financial well-being, digital financial literacy, and of course, #GlobalMoneyWeek2025 #GMW2025.

💶 Protect your money, secure your future! A fitting theme for Global Money Week 2024 – which is happening this week. #GMW24 is highlighting the risks posed by frauds and scams – unfortunately a growing problem, and young people are at particular risk. The amounts lost can be huge: the average lost in a credit transfer fraud is over €4000. The EU is working to protect consumers from fraud, as well as on financial literacy. We’ve put in place measures to counter fraud across the EU, like secure customer authentication – where you need a second factor, like a code sent to your phone, before you make a payment. We’ve proposed the right to a refund for victims of certain types of fraud, like spoofing when a fraudster impersonates a bank employee.
