GEODIS' climate commitments approved by the Science Based Targets initiative 🌎 The Science Based Targets initiative (#SBTi) has approved GEODIS' near-term #GHG emission reduction targets, confirming that the Group's strategy is aligned with the Paris Agreement goal. “In receiving this validation, we reaffirm our commitment to meaningful #climate action,” said Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of #GEODIS. 👉 Key targets, over the period 2022 to 2030: ▪️42% reduction in GHG emissions (Scope 1 & 2) ▪️For scope 3, a reduction of at least 25% in outsourced #freight transport services: An absolute reduction objective for air freight and a reduction of the CO2 emissions per t.km for Road, Ocean and Rail freight. GEODIS delivers to RELAY stores at Paris airports using 100% electric trucks! 🚚 #GEODIS operates three fully electric trucks covering over 300 kilometers per day to deliver goods for Lagardère Travel Retail at Paris Airport: Paris Aéroport - Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly Paris® - Orly International. This shift to electric vehicles helps reduce direct CO2 emissions by 115 tons annually compared to traditional vehicles.
