It’s official, Monkey Palace has won the strategy game of the year in Belgium. 🤩 Awarded end of last week, this award is a testament to the hard work, passion, and creativity that went into making Monkey Palace, from the partnership creation with the LEGO Group to the launch of the game. 👏 A huge congrats to the team from Dotted Games studios, the great designers David Gordon and Tam Myaing, and the Belgium team of Asmodee! Essen SPIEL 2024 is a wrap! With more than 200,000 visitors attending this year, Essen SPIEL 2024 has become the largest edition to date. Abi Crowe chats with Nelly E., our senior event manager, who oversaw the organization and coordination of Asmodee’s presence at the event. It takes six days and a team of around 50 people to set up the booths, while several dozens of demo staff, worked tirelessly to demo our games and running the shop. It was a dedicated team of passionate individuals who brought this year’s event to life. 🎲 But behind the scenes, our sourcing teams were also hard at work, meeting with designers throughout the event to discover the games of tomorrow. The sourcing team met with over 60 designers to check many different designs. Essen SPIEL is truly an unmissable event for connecting with some of the most creative designers in the industry. 💡 We’re already looking forward to connecting with our fans at upcoming conventions and can’t wait to see them back at Essen SPIEL next year! 📅

Essen SPIEL Day 3 is already behind us! While there’s still plenty happening on the show floor at Essen SPIEL, the event is about more than just board gaming. It’s also a chance for our CSR team to discuss sustainability and highlight the launch of our Access+ games in Germany, as Sarah Pop-Stefanov did during today’s Educator’s Day. Yesterday, during SPIEL.talks, researchers Chloé Germaine and Paul Wake, part of the Game In Lab research program presented their findings on “Games Imagining the Future”. Meanwhile, our German HR team, led by Birgit Müller, is taking full advantage of the event to connect with passionate talent eager to join our company.
