I'm on my second iPhone 7 Plus (Black - 256 Gb) after I got the first one exchanged because it was performing poorly with RAM : frequent app reloads, widgets would reload every time and safari would be unable to stay connected on websites and ask for connection every time you return on the tab.
The iPhone was acting as if it had 1 Gb of RAM and not 3 Gb.
It turned out I noticed I had all the time important parts of "Free" memory, sometimes up to 600 Mb of free RAM which seemed unused.
On the diagnostics side, it noticed I had a lot of "JetsamEvent" (Settings > Privacy > Diagnostics & Usage > Data), up to 50 a day, which in my understanding is an incident where iOS empties RAM because it thinks it is full.
Anyway, I exchanged the iPhone after the genius bar acknowledged there seemed to be a fault with my unit, waited more than a month for a replacement to be available, and it turned out the new unit almost has the same issues !
It's definitely less severe (widgets don't reload and apps reload a lot but not as often, and the amount of "JetsamEvent" is more like 20 a day than 50 a day...) but it's still there.
I don't reallly know what to do except living with it, the iPhone is far from unusable and performs normally on other aspects. It's just that it reloads apps a lot and doesn't keep apps in memory for a very long time.
Needless to say I tried setting the iPhone as new and nothing changed.
My iPad Pro 12.9 doesn't behave at all like this and can keep an app in memory for a very long time without reloading it. I definitely can notice the 4 Gb of RAM whereas I really don't notice the 3 Gb of RAM of my iPhone 7 Plus)
Has anyone experienced the same issues with their iPhone 7 Plus ?
